Emergency Learning Plan

Overview
Effective January 2023, any school closures may be used for distance learning (or e-learning). The State of Minnesota has approved up to five e-learning days for schools each year. These days help to reduce the chance that we will have to add any additional school days at the end of the school year due to school closures.

  • Review the schedules below for each school or program.
  • Look for an email from your child’s teacher(s) or school with additional information when an e-learning day is declared.
  • If your child receives special education services, you can expect those to continue during an e-learning day. If you have questions, please contact your child’s special education teacher or special education lead.
  • Synchronous activities occur live online via Google Meet. Links will be shared via Google Classroom. For security reasons, we do not post class links online.
  • Asynchronous activities do not take place at a specific time. Students will review and complete assignments on their own.

E-Learning Days Verses Flex Learning Days
E-Learning Plans are only for weather or emergency closures. They do not apply to At-Home Flex Learning Days, which are reserved for staff professional learning. Assignments and materials for the next At-Home Flex Learning Day will be shared with students ahead of time.

Thank you for your understanding and partnership as we ensure learning continues during future weather or emergency closures.
