Teaching students how to interact digitally has been a rewarding challenge.

I am an avid outdoorsman, and began my educational career in outdoor education and camp programming. Teaching in the classroom has provided another avenue by which to interact with young people, promoting a love for learning about the world in which we live.

My wife, dog, and I moved back to my Minnesota homeland from Portland, Oregon about seven years ago now. I earned my Master’s of Teaching degree from Hamline University, and this will be my fifth year of teaching.

One of my goals this year is to explore and collaborate with the staff at Progeny Academy how to best engage students through distance learning. I enjoy incorporating various technologies into my lessons, and teaching students how to interact digitally has been a rewarding challenge.
