Lilly Nelson, Enrollment Coordinator and Food Service Manager, Progeny Academy

My name is Lilly Nelson and I serve as the Enrollment Coordinator and Food Service Manager at Progeny Academy.  My background includes over thirty years of experience in marketing and food service in catering companies and schools.

I have a deep connection to Progeny Academy as I was part of the founding planning team back in 2016.  My passion for students and healthy food run hand in hand so I truly feel privileged to serve Progeny in this capacity.

My goals for this year at Progeny Academy include continuing to grow our community.  We are fortunate to have such a supportive community base and I want to increase opportunities for collaboration and support.

Additionally, I hope to expand our food and nutrition program into the classroom so students are able to learn about how nutrition supports their growth and development.

One area that I would highlight about our school to prospective families is our passion for middle school learners.  Providing a safe and supportive learning environment is a top priority for all staff.  We work diligently to ensure that all academic, social and emotional needs are met for every one of our scholars.  This is a collective responsibility held by all staff and is a core value of our school community.

About Progeny Academy

Progeny Academy provides an authentic educational program, for grades four through eight, grounded in inquiry-based principles and a nurturing social/emotional curriculum.  We guide our students through the sometimes-challenging middle school years with goal setting, situational problem solving, and growth mindsets, all in our small, supportive classrooms. We are passionate about middle school and our safe learning environment for all. Students come first at Progeny Academy!
